By His Spirit
We thank God for 49 years of guiding, protecting, and providing for San Diego Fil-Am.
All of us, from the first members to everyone who has joined the San Diego Filamily over the years, have seen God’s faithfulness. Whether it was paying off the church mortgage or building our beautiful sanctuary, God has always been with us. His mercies are new every morning. As we follow the vision and leadership of those before us, we gladly take on the responsibility to move forward together, trusting God to help us serve Him and honor His name.
As we celebrate this milestone and look ahead, let’s renew our commitment to keep our light shining with the help of the Holy Spirit. We cannot achieve our vision and mission on our own. As the Lord said in Zechariah 4:6, “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”
I encourage everyone to pray for and support the efforts we have started, and to take our shared responsibilities seriously. We have three main priorities: growing in our CRG Discipleship Journey, meeting our monthly mortgage payments, and sustaining our various ministries. In our weekly worship services, we keep these priorities in focus with honesty, prayer, and a sense of shared purpose.
We believe God keeps showing us His will as we seek Him together and follow His guidance. As a church family, we need to stay open to the Holy Spirit and keep working on the changes He has started in us. Let’s see these initiatives not just as programs, but as chances for God to shape our character and help us become more like Jesus.
Welcome to our 49th anniversary worship service! Whether you are a guest or a longtime member, we are glad you are here. We are thankful to have Elder Elizer Sacay, VP for our Conference's Asian Pacific Ministries, sharing God’s message with us today. After our fellowship lunch, please stay for a special anniversary concert with Jaime Jorge, an internationally known violinist. Let’s celebrate not only how far God has brought us, but also the journey of faith He continues to lead us on by His Spirit.
